Day 7 of Unemloyment: Sugar Skulls & Skins

January 7, 2010

Today was a typical (and by “typical” I mean pretty much the same as the other 3 days of my unemployment thus far) day in the land of unemployment. I did good today with getting up: I got up at 8:00 a.m., made some coffee and oatmeal. A “bad” day would involve getting up past 9 (like yesterday, when I got up at 9:30) and eating cold cereal. Here is a breakdown of the essential daily activity stats:

People I talked to today (other than my husband) = 1

Showers taken = 1 … time taken = 4:05 p.m.

Today’s pair of pj’s = mint green pj’s with doggies…time spent in said pj’s = all day until shower time…

TV  watched = Beverly Hills 90210, Season 1 – 5 (?) episodes & Skins (BBC comedy drama about high schoolers) – 3 episodes

Minutes spent in the Hazzard dojo (we have a heavy bag & speedbag in our garage) = 0

Jobs applied for = 0

Stitching project = Sugar (day of the dead) skull w/ flowers on my long-sleeved purple T-shirt

Yesterday I finished stitching up an infant shirt for my new nephew Isaac:

Male Elf/sprite thing riding a snail in the forest. Elf & snail come from a pattern, the rest is freehand.

Cool shirt. You can wear that for the Day of the Dead.

Okay, your stitching is awesome! Since you don’t have any pesky work in the way, maybe you should start an Etsy store.
