I originally started this blog (at blogspot) as some kind of outlet for screeds of various kinds, mostly around themes of politics, racism, and social justice. Well, I’ve decided to tone it down a bit, or at least diversify and have more fun with it, so I’m going to be posting about anything and everything from now on. And I’m going to be including more pictures (I think pictures keep the people coming back). Also, since I’ve been doing a lot of reading (fiction and non-fiction), I’m going to try my hand at book reviewing, and I may even post bits from my thesis for comments and suggestions. I’m trying new adventures in food, so you might see some food pictures. Of course, I love my bunny, so there will be bunny pictures and funny stories when he does something interesting (which doesn’t happen that often, so those will likely be scant).
About me: I’m a second year master’s of social work student, writing my thesis on biracial identity (specifically half white/half minority)…the research question is what does it mean to represent the both majority and minority, oppressor and oppressed, and what are the moral and ethical implications of “passing” (passing for white) for this population. If you have questions about this, ask, and I can post about it or something.

yah, cause I’m still not convinced it’s real (yes, I know it’s in the dictionary), and so I must use it so it becomes part of my consciousness, thus becoming reality…
